Colin Bird
Chairman and Chief Executive

Colin Bird began his insurance career in 1966 as a junior clerk in a binding authority department at C E Heath. He joined Swann & Everett as a junior broker in 1979 and moved to Alexander Howden the following year.

At Alexander Howden he was promoted through various levels of directorship until 1979 when he was appointed Chief Executive of the newly formed North American division and full Director of Howden's main broking board.

He moved to J H Minet for a year as Executive Director responsible for the casualty department and then joined Besso in 1985, where he has been Chief Executive and Chairman. He is currently Chief Executive of Besso Holdings.

Chris Kenny

Chris began his career at Lloyd's in 1967 working for the Vesty's at Robert Barrow then moving to Rose Thompson Young in 1969 and being merged into Wigham's in 1972.

He gained Directorships of three Wigham Poland Group Companies and is a founding partner of CBC.

Almost every day of his working life has been spent broking at Lloyd's and he has served on a number of Lloyd's Working Parties and Committees.
